Getting there & getting around
-
Hartford (Bradley International Airport) is a great option and takes less than an hour to drive to Madison from. We recommend renting a car from here to get to Madison, but you could easily grab a taxi from here as well.
Boston (Logan International Airport) is an option, about 2 hours driving to Madison. There are train options to get to Madison but for speed and convenience, we recommend renting a car for the weekend.
New Haven (Tweed) is a regional airport for more local travelers. About 30 minutes from Madison, a taxi or Uber ride would work from here.
New York (JFK & LGA) This is a great option for anyone looking to spend a day or two in the city on either end of the trip. You can take the Metro North train from the city to New Haven and drive, taxi, or Lyft ~30 min. to Madison from there.
-
Car rental While limited transport will be available throughout the weekend, a car is an ideal way to get around Madison.
Ride share While available in the area, ride share options can be limited and unreliable in Madison.
Taxis There are a handful of taxi and airport transfer services available in the area. We advise calling ahead for time-sensitive arrival requirements.
